
The Indian Premier league will be one of the biggest and the first of its kind event. Totally 8 teams will compete in the tournament which will be beginning on the 18th of April. The IPL is promoted by the BCCI and the auction for the eight teams was conducted on 24th January 2008. Many of the leading business magnets competed in the 723.59 million dollar auction and these are the teams and their owners. Some of the teams are led by Icon players while some other players were picked up on auctions. Players from many cricket playing nations will be playing in the Indian Premier league.
